The Bendix RIM-8 Talos is a long-range naval surface-to-air missile, The Talos was a development of the Bumblebee Project, the Navy's effort to develop a surface-to-air missile to provide an extra layer of aircraft defense. The Talos was the primary effort behind the Bumblebee project.
At the Bendix defense Laboratory in South Bend, Indiana, United States there was a theft involving 1 TALOS RIM-8, During the theft a DOD guard on assignment was killed. Intelligence has suggested that a splinter faction group is responsible for the theft.
The group is know as “ New World Dawn” and is led by a crazed fanatical.

MISSION PARAMETERS:

EVENT RULES
Players are expected to strictly abide by the rules that N.Y.R.M. has laid down for this particular event. Players are expected to act mature and responsibly in the field by familiarizing themselves with these rules which were drawn to ensure that participants would have a safe and enjoyable experience.

I will have Control Officers deployed throughout the field to ensure that the event rules are complied with. In addition, N.Y.R.M. will have undercover officers embedded in the various playing units to ensure that participants act honorably, maturely and responsibly during the course of the event.

CHECK-IN
Players are requested to arrive at the field ahead of time to allow them to gear up and make all final preparations before checking in.

LUNCH
PACK YOUR OWN.....There is a store about 1-2 miles before you get to the field. They make great hero's.

REGISTRATION
You must R.S.V.P & REGISTER TO this thread. Anyone not on the official roster on game-day will be turned away from the field. No exceptions.

Nottingham Elementary student brings BB gun to school (updated)

Katy Independent School District reported another incident involving a student with gun on campus.

A Nottingham Country Elementary student brought an Airsoft BB gun to school last Tuesday, but administrators were not notified until another student reported the incident late Friday.

"We questioned the student and they did admit to having a BB gun on campus," principal Marlene Bourgeois said in the e-mail sent to parents Saturday.

"We have contacted the student's parents and are dealing with this issue in the proper manner, including appropriate disciplinary action."

Katy ISD Director of Communications Steve Stanford told the Times the incident is a “Level IV offense, which results in an off campus DAEP placement.”

This is the second time this month that a student has brought a weapon on campus. On Jan. 13, a Katy High School student brought a loaded gun to school to show it off to other students during lunch.

Stanford told the Times after the last incident that "a weapon on campus is a Level V offense, which results in removal from campus to a JJAEP program."

The e-mail sent Saturday, in its entirety, reads as follows:

Dear Parents:

I would like to bring your attention to an incident that happened earlier this week. A student reported to us late Friday that on Tuesday another student had brought an Airsoft BB gun to school. We questioned the student and they did admit to having a BB gun on campus. We have contacted the student's parents and are dealing with this issue in the proper manner, including appropriate disciplinary action.

Students are often the first line of defense when it comes to keeping our schools safe as they often have first-hand knowledge about what their classmates are doing. I ask that you use this incident as a teachable moment with your child to help confirm with them the important role they play in keeping our school safe. Please remind them that when they learn that a prohibited item is on campus that they should always inform a teacher or principal as soon as possible.

The safety of your child and every other child here at Nottingham Country Elementary is one of our highest priorities. With your help, we will continue our commitment to creating a safe, secure and conducive learning environment for your child.

My husband sits and plays this new Modern Warfare 2 game, sometimes all night long! It's crazy! Especially when he gets on there with his friends and family.. Oh WOW, LOOK OUT! I usually sit and watch or do what ever, but one night while I was watching.. I realized something. How cool would this type of situation be if you could do it in real life.. without killing people, that is. Well, you can! There are AirSoft games going on all over the country! How do you clean your AirSoft gun?

When you are a gun owner you know that you need to clean your guns after every use, right? Well AirSoft guns are no different. When using AirSoft guns, whether using for target practice, gaming, or fun play, you need to make sure that you tend to it as if it were a real gun. Here are some tips to get this done:

1) Why keep your AirSoft gun clean?

Enhanced performance

Maintain/increase accuracy

Reduced jamming

Faster shooting

2) First thing to do before doing any maintenance on your gun is to remove the power source. You will do one of the following:

Dry shoot to confirm it’s not cocked-spring action guns

Remove battery pack-electric guns, or

Disconnect CO2 tank-pressurized gas guns

There is no excuse to not take a few extra minutes to handle your airsoft gun in a safe manner. Take your time and be safe!

Clean the exterior of the airsoft gun:

Wipe clean with a clean non-abrasive cloth

Use cotton swabs for crevices and hard to reach areas.

Clean the magazine of the airsoft gun:

Remove magazine

Clean the magazine the same as the exterior

All moving parts should have a drop of oil added

Replace magazine

Clean the barrel of the airsoft gun:

Turn of hop up system on gun

Spray a .22 cleaning patch with silicone

With patch on rod, insert in into barrel to clean

Use an in and out motion

Swab barrel 3-4 times

Repeat swabbing procedure with a dry patch

When patches come out clean after dry swabbing, you are finished!

Hint- There are gun-cleaning kits available.

After cleaning your gun, be sure to have a few trial shots before going out on the field to play. After cleaning, your gun may perform better and you don’t want to wait to find out in the field after a few bad shots that you need to adjust your shooting!

As the New Year has rolled around and smacked us in the face, we are left with no choice but to embrace it. So, what to do? Well, we have a few New Year's resolutions for you. For the family, we have a few of our normal everyday resolutions.. lose weight, excercise, cut out the bad things in our lives.. you know, the usual. But, for us, the usual just isn't good enough. So, we decided to add a bit of a kick to it. When it comes to getting out, exercising and more we are going to set it up with.. skydiving, roller blading, jogging and vacationing. Oh, and we don't mean just vacationing, we are taking the kids to Disney! We don't normally vacation, but again.. it is a new year right!

We are also stepping things up here at AirCraz.com! We are taking on a whole new direction with our company. AirCraz.com will be moving forward with a new bit of information on the site. Now, with New Year, we will be adding such things as gaming rules and regulations, safety information and more! We will also be updating the website with new items, combo packs, updates and more! I had to report it, because not only could I believe someone had such a death wish, but also because I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Mike Collinsworth of Bad Karma AirSoft (Another AirSoft Dealer). AirCraz fully supports the law enforcment officers all over the world, as well as those who use AirSoft guns with respect and smarts!

Toy Guns Replicate Real Threat

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police officers are trained to use deadly force, when necessary. In a moment, an officer might not have time to question whether the threat of a gun is real.

In October, robbery suspect Demian Rivera was shot by Franklin police after pulling a weapon on officers. Rivera was not killed in the shooting. His weapon turned out to be an AirSoft gun.

"He's an idiot, and he got exactly what he deserved. I mean, whether it was real, whether it was fake, whether he had bought a plastic handgun at Wal-Mart. If you're going to do something stupid, and put yourself in that situation, you're an idiot," said AirSoft gun handler Mike Collinsworth.

AirSoft gun dealers admit with realism comes responsibility and recognition that in a split second decision even a veteran police officer might not know the difference.

"They're extremely lifelike, very lifelike. That's one of the aspects that make them such a good training component for the law enforcement officials and the army," said Collinsworth.

Collinsworth owns and operates Bad Karma AirSoft Field in Lebanon, and the business has a flawless incident record.

If an AirSoft gun and plastic pellets are on your child's Christmas list, Collinsworth advises parents to always supervise AirSoft gun practice or play, carry the gun in its case - never have it out in plain view in public and finally, orange tip the gun to mark it clearly not the real deal.

Color marking your children's toy weapons is a law in some states, but not required in Tennessee.

Last year, State Rep. John DeBerry brought up legislation making it illegal for a minor to buy any toy gun without parental permission.

DeBerry's from Memphis where, two years ago, officers shot and killed a 12-year-old boy who wielded a toy gun.

Air guns at school carry hefty penalties

BROOKSVILLE - Bring an air gun to school or on a bus and students can expect up to 10 days of out-of-school suspension.
In extreme situations or for repeat offenders, administrators could recommend expulsion or placement in the alternative school.

Following an incident late last week when a 10-year-old boy brought an air gun on a school bus and shot another student in the arm, Explorer Principal Ray Pinder said he's reviewed the situation and sat down with the boy's parents.
Although he wouldn't disclose the boy's punishment, he said in those types of situations he follows the school's policy regarding students who bring a BB or pellet gun to school — 10 days out-of-school suspension.

"We refer the matter to law enforcement also," Pinder said.
According to the school's policy, a second offense would result in expulsion or alternative school placement.

Bringing an air gun also falls under the same category as bringing a "pocket knife, blunt knife, laser pointer, smoke bomb, bullet, shot gun shell or firecracker, or any other object that could be used to harm another person."
Another section of the school policy points to bringing toy guns to school, which would result in a parent conference and up to 10 days suspension — similar to the pellet gun category Pinder said.

For law enforcement, Sgt. Donna Black with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, said the boy was charged with misdemeanor disruption of a school function, punishable typically by community service.

However, she said the case is still under investigation to determine whether another student was shot with the pellet gun and whether it was intentional or not, which could lead to an additional charge of battery.

"The pellet gun does not fit the Florida statute definition of a weapon," Black said. "But there still is the possibility of battery, which is why we're waiting for the bus video to see what went on."

Last week several parents were upset after their childs' bus arrived 50 minutes after its due time. Samantha Baumstark, of Spring Hill, and her boyfriend Danny Cimino said when their son Allan got off the bus, he told them that a 10-year-old boy was escorted off the bus by his parents after taking out an air gun and shooting a girl in the arm.
Allan had alerted the bus driver, who alerted transportation officials and pulled over while waiting for sheriff's deputies to arrive.

Airsoft guns eject plastic pellets, which normally fire projectiles 300 feet per second. Some can fire up to 600 feet per second. They are considered safer than BB guns. They are modeled to look like actual guns and can be filled with hard, soft or bio-degradable pellets.

Meanwhile, Cimino said while Allan was recognized by school officials for informing the bus driver, he and Baumstark won't allow their children to ride the bus — instead opting to take them to and from school.

As for the punishing of the student, Cimino said the school district should have issued a harsher penalty.

"He should do more than just 10 days of O.S.S," Cimino said. "I think he should be expelled or something for that."

Where Did the Nutcracker Come From?

The Nutcracker~ A Timeless Memory, but from where? Many know the beauty and love the Nutcracker brings to children all over the world, especially this time of year. But, not many know the story behind them. Where did they come from, why were they made, what makes them so amazing? Well, let me tell you...

The origional Nutcracker story was a Ballet written and designed by Peter Tchaikovsky, called the Nutcracker Suite. Dazzling sugarplum fairies, delicate snowflakes and exotic Arabian dancers populate the spectacular world the Nutcracker Ballet. So many characters come to life in the musical splendor~But, with all that is happening, it’s easy to overlook this much-loved hero, a prince-like figure who fends off the evil Mouse King and his army on Christmas eve. The brave nutcracker made his first appearance in Nussknacker und Mausekönig (Nutcracker and Mouse King), a tale of the supernatural told by German author and composer E.T.A. Hoffmann in 1816.

Telling the Story Through Music and Dance

Hoffman gave this wooden hero character and courage as well as a tender heart. In Hoffman's story, however, the ending is more brutal than in Tchaikovsky's musical interpretation. In his story, the nutcracker soldier suffers at the hands of the invading mouse king and his army and barely escapes.

The Nutcracker as Gift and Good Luck Symbol

German children of the Biedermeier (1820) were familiar with wooden nutcrackers; found in many homes of the time. A nutcracker in a droll human shape was intended to bring good luck to the home and hearth, while presenting a fierce grin and glaring eye to protect the household from evil spirits. Hence, they were given as gifts as far back as the 16th century, when European craftsmen created them in a variety of human and animal forms.

Pleasant times with the family's nutcracker stimulated conversation and story-telling after a good meal; which included the common practice of ending a meal over a bowl of nuts, some cheese and a stein of good German beer.

The popular toy became a means to express social commentary, serving to lampoon contemporary authorities such as the police, the Church, the military, and even the Kaiser during the political upheavals, changes in fortunes, and various wars of the 19th century.

The Nutcracker Ballet and its Story

ACT 1 : The Party Scene

It is the eve of Christmas in Nuremburg, Germany, about the year 1850. Herr Drosselmeyer, a mysterious man and marvelous inventor of toys, is in his workshop with his nephew. Dorosselmeyer is putting the last minute magic on the special holiday presents he is bringing to the Christmas Eve party being held at the grand home of Clara and Fritz Stahlbaum.

As the curtain opens in the Stanlbaum's home, we see Clara and Friz's nursemaids at work cleaning the home and trimming the Christmas tree. Al last, the long awaited moment arrives and Clara, Fritz and Dr. and Mrs. Stahlbaum rush into the drawing room where they are dazzled by the splendid sight of the lavishly decorated holiday tree.

Soon, the many guests invited to the Christmas festivities arrive. The most celebrated and eagerly awaited by Carla, is her godfather, uncle Drosselmeyer, and his nephew.

Drosselmeyer presents the children with special holiday gifts, dolls for the girls and toy horns for the boys. Excited with their gifts, the children dance merrily and the adults join in. Surprisingly Clara and her guests, Drosselmeyer magically produces a life-sized jester and mechanical doll who perform charming dances for everyone's enjoyment.

Uncle Drosselmeyer finally gives Clara a special gift, a nutcracker designed as a soldier. Clara falls in love instantly with her nutcracker and shows her delight by dancing happily with him.

Fritz, furious at Clara's pleasure, lets his jealousy overwhelm him. In his fury, he snatches the beloved nutcracker and breaks it. Clara weeps as Uncle Drosselmeyer binds the nutcracker's head with his scarf and consoles her. Fritz, reprimanded and remorseful, apologizes and all i well again.

A stately Polonaise dance, performed by the parents, mark the evening's finale. The Stanhlbaums bid fond goonights to their guests as Clara and fritz retire to bed.

ACT 1: Scenes II and III

Clara returns to the drawing room where she soon falls fast asleep, cradling her nutcracker in her arms. Small mice appears and begin dancing. Awakened suddenly, Clara is frightened by the life-sized mice and a Mouse King. Uncle Drosselmeyer appears just in time to save her, sending the mice scurring away. Clara and Uncle Drosselmeyer celebrate and Drosselmeyer magically makes the tree even more magnificent.

As Drosselmeyer vanishes, the huge mice and Mouse King courageously reappear. Clara hides as toy soldiers and her beloved nutcracker appear, alive and also life-sized, to battle the ferocious mice. In a fierce duel, the valiant nutcracker defeats the Mouse King and becomes a handsome prince. For the first time, the prince and Clara dance gracefully together.

The Nutcracker prince takes Clara on a journey to the Sugar Plum Fairy's magical kingdom, passing through an exquisite snow forest where dancing penguins frolic in the winter sun. As evening falls, Clara and her prince are welcomed by the Snow Queen as she and her crystalline snowflakes dance in the moonlight.

ACT 2: Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy
In the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her angels dance in excited anticipation of the arrival of their special guests. Clara and her prince are greeted graciously with delightful dancing by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her sugar plums. Oriental servants, dance with honor, offering them sweets. Spirited Spanish dancers and Chinese dancers delightfully entertain, Mother Ginger and her gingersnaps evoke grins and giggles from all. Reed flutes playfully perform, and an exotic Arabian dancer enchantingly beckons. Cherry cupcakes and cute candy canes happily twirl and even the beautiful flowers of the kingsom elegantly watlz. With grand finesse, the Sugar Plum Fairy performs the final most breathtaking dance of all, inviting the Nutcracker Prince and Clara to join her. As the performance draws to a close, everyone waves good-bye to Clara and her prince. However, Clara knows that she may return to the fantasy of her dreams whenever she sleeps. Then Clara awakes, in her bed, just as she was before the beauty of her dream took over.

What's New for Christmas?

I have never seen anything more amazing then I did today! My husband and I went shopping today, Christmas shopping. While we were out and about we came across the "Isle of Nutcrackers". I was impressed by the number of different styles and creativeness that I seen. Now, I am an avid Nutcracker Collector. I have seen them all and have collected almost all of them; that is until today! I seen the greatest thing ever! Have you seen the newest thing out there, Rock Band? It is a gaming system attachment for X Box 360 , PS3, or Wii. Well, this year they have come out with Nutcrackers that resemble the Rock Band stars!! They have the guitar guy, the drummer, and the singer! It was amazing! I so had to have them.... especially since that is what we got for our kids for Christmas! LOL, I love it... now I am waiting for the next couple sets. I swear that there will be a Twilight and Harry Potter set coming soon, there has to be!

BROWNIE BOTTOM CHEESECAKE

HINT: Always store desserts containing cream cheese, whether baked or unbaked, in the refrigerator.

Prep Time: 40 minutes plus refrigerating
Bake Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 4 Squares Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate
2 1/4 cups sugar, divided 5 eggs, divided
1/4 cup milk 2 tsp vanilla, divided
1 cup flour 1/2 tsp salt
3 packgs ( 8 oz each) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream

(Makes 12 servings)

Directions:

1) Melt butter and chocolate in 3-quart heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly; cool. Blend in 1 1/2 cups sugar.

2)Add 2 of the eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until blended. Blend in milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix flour and salt. Add to chocolate mixture, mixing just until blended. Spread evenly onto bottom of greased and floured 9-inch springfoam pan. Bake at 325`F for 25 minutes.

3) Mix cream cheese, remaining 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add remaining 3 eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition, just until blended. Blend in sour cream; pour over brownie bottom (filling will almost come to top of pan).

4) Bake at 325`F for 55 minutes to 1 hour or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Let stand at room temp fo r30 minutes before serving. Drizzle with assorted ice cream toppings, if desired.

Helpful Hints:

To quickly soften an 8 ounce package of cream cheese, unwrap it and place on a microwave plate. Microwave at medium (50% power) for 30 - 40 seconds. Let stand 1 minute before using.
